I really disliked that book ; the Fault in our stars.
My god, the story was dumb. Flat. With no plot twists at all. I KNEW since the beginning what was to going to happen to one of them… it’s hella stupid. The whole love story sucks, too. How OBVIOUS it is that those two stupid characters (who have 0 personnality, especially that whiny girl) were going to end up together and be traaaaagicaly seperated by Death? Oh my gooood so saaad!!1!11! #feels #sad #tears
God, and surely I will not start talking about the characters themselves. That girl was detestable. I can’t understand why is everyone loves her so much. She seems so cocky, it’s unbearable. And her beautiful prince charming isn’t any better. How PERFECT is that guy? So cute, so beautiful, so nice, omg!!!11!! perfect guy!!1!! <3 and that poor mr.perfect had to fall in love with a sociopathic girl from that club which exists for no purpose because y’know, it’s so annoying and mainstream, nobody wants to go there (especially miss fabulous and her special tastes in things).
In the end, it doesn’t even surprise me that people on Tumblr are fans of this book. This whole community think they’re all so original and amazing, but in the end, they’re just regular teens with common tastes, who like dumb love stories and cry over the death of a pointless fictional character (SPOIL: honestly, even if he was dumb, why did that poor guy had to die? I really thought his rude-ass girlfriend would be the one to go).
To each his own, as they say, but take my -serious- advice ; start reading REAL books, with plot twists and much else than two flat characters with 0 personnality. On a more serious tone, without criticizing the book itself : trust someone with experience in hospitals, illnesses and such. Life ISN’T like that. This is the romanticized version of what you think being in one of these characters’ cases would be. But it’s not. And I don’t wish you to go through the same stuff as me to realize it ; start undertstanding it by yourself.
